Under the leadership of Doug Ford, Ontario’s PC government is making record investments to protect municipalities. We’re building stronger, more resilient communities, supporting new housing and delivering the infrastructure and services people rely on, all while keeping costs down for families.
Since 2018, provincial support for municipalities has increased by more than 60 per cent. This year, Ontario is providing $600 million to 388 municipalities through the Ontario Municipal Partnership Fund. That’s an increase of $100 million over two years that goes directly toward the local services people count on every day, like snow plowing, road repairs and community programs.
Our PC team is also investing $400 million this year to help small, rural and northern municipalities build and repair roads, bridges, water systems and other critical infrastructure. This brings Ontario’s total investment through the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund to $2.8 billion since 2018, delivering results in communities across the province.
We’re also helping get more homes built while making homeownership more affordable. Cutting the HST on new homes and reducing development charges can save homebuyers up to $200,000, while our historic $4 billion Municipal Housing Infrastructure Program has increased by $1.6 billion last year alone to help communities build the infrastructure needed to unlock more housing.
That’s what building for Ontario’s future is all about: more homes, lower costs and stronger communities.
These investments go beyond infrastructure and housing. In 2025, Ontario provided nearly $1 billion for land ambulance services, so paramedics get to families faster when it matters most. Annual funding for homelessness prevention programs has grown to almost $700 million, helping more people access stable housing and get back on their feet.
While the Liberals would raise taxes and make life more expensive, Doug Ford and our Ontario PC team are focused on lowering costs, building homes, strengthening local services and creating good-paying jobs.
